This property is in the Cocke Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee and is located on Medow Mountain, east of the town of Parrottsville, TN. This and the adjoining properties in this immediate area are surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest and the western property line abuts the national forest boundary. Access to the property is by a posted private gravel road which is maintained by the property owners. This area is centrally located and is within easy driving distance to the cities of Newport (30 mins.), Greenville (40 mins.) and Morristown (45 mins.). Within an hour's drive are the cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood, which was recently rated as the number one family amusement park in the US. The city of Knoxville, TN. and Ashville, NC are about an hour and fifteen minutes away via Interstate 40.

The entire area boasts of miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking and ATV/UTV forest service roads. There are numerous mountain rivers, streams and trails nearby and there are two large TVA lakes, Dandridge and Cherokee, which offers excellent boating and fishing. There is a ranch nearby that offers camping, horse stalls and horseback riding for the public. Most of the surrounding properties are five or more acres. There are no longer any known undeveloped building sites in the immediate area.

The house is unique because above the garage is a 1000+ square foot undeveloped area ready for whatever you want to make it. It can be an artist or podcast studio or a large office. A two-bedroom apartment, rental or Airbnb are all possible, it's up to the buyer. Electric, water and sewer were installed when the garage was built by the previous owner and all that is needed is to connect it to the upstairs. There is a large covered deck outside this area which runs the length of the garage.

There is a fire pit for sitting around at night. A small pavilion is near the fire pit which has electric and water installed and is ready to be hooked up. The garage is double wide and has a large workshop (approx. 260 sqft) in the rear which can be closed off during cooler weather by a large interior barn door. Outside the garage are two covered bays. The closest bay to the garage is ideal for a pull along camper up to thirty-four feet long. This bay has a clearance of fourteen feet (+/-) and a width of about ten feet. The last bay can be used for addition covered parking and it has heavy duty double tier storage shelfs. There are no know properties in this area with these unique features.

It is very economical to live in this area. Electric, propane, property taxes and homeowners' insurance are much lower than many other parts of the country. One of the best things though is that the State of Tennessee does NOT have a Personal Income Tax.
