The true award in real estate is the reward. Whether it is the reward of seeing an ear to ear smile on a first-time buyer the day they get the keys to their new home and say goodbye to renting or the reward of guiding a nervous seller who has lived in the same house for 40 years, is unfamiliar with the process and wants to put the maintenance and upkeep of a home behind them and be able to enjoy their retirement by moving locally or out of state to a smaller home or condo. By keeping the focus on the client the awards follow and I am honored to be a member of the CENTURY21 CENTURION Honor Society recognizing agents nationwide who have achieved CENTURY21's prestigious CENTURION award for annually of a number of years.

During my career I have also had the honor of being elected to serve as a director of both the Middlesex County Association of Realtors and the Middlesex County Multiple Listing Service. Additionally I have served on committees at those organizations including as chairperson of the Professional Standards Committee.

As a Broker / Owner at CENTURY21 Charles Smith Agency my focus is to ensure that we are all delivering extraordinary experiences to each and every buyer and seller client that the firm works with. We understand that this means truly listening to their priorities and then analyzing how we can add value as a REALTOR to get them to their personal real estate goal. We recognize that this is going to mean adjusting our approach and going above and beyond what is expected of us to see our clients at the end of the deal knowing that we have done right by them and have earned their future business and the trust of their personal referrals.

My career in real estate began in 1998 shortly after graduating The George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in Finance. My love of real estate began well before that though playing "real estate office" at home in the basement as a child with my my brothers with our dad's old MLS data sheets. All this time later I still love our industry and the growth and change that has come to it over the years.

In addition to working daily directly with buyers and sellers and guiding our company of highly skilled agents here in Central NJ, I also have a passion for the investment side of the real estate market ranging from rental properties, to investing in single family homes to be renovated and sold to new construction projects.

The core of my business is to serve our agents. To make sure that they have the resources a d training that they need and want to be able to go out there every day and do their job as REALTORS at the highest level possible. This enable them to earn clients for life and as a by-product of that reach their own business goals as REALTORS. To this day, one of my specializations is knowing the inventory in our local market like the back of my hand - including making sure i still get out to see as many of the listed homes in our area as possible. This gives me a unique advantage when it comes to assisting in pricing new homes coming on the market and also in helping match buyers that our team of agents are working with to the homes available.
