As you start your home-buying journey, finding the right agent is an important first step. I'm Rebecca Brown, an agent with Century 21 Bailey & Co., and I am glad you found me!

I grew up primarily in New Orleans, however, since my father was employed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers, we moved whenever he was assigned to a new project. Then, I became an Air Force wife and the moving continued. I have lived in 12 states, some more than once, and have made countless moves. Now we have retired from the Air Force and are happy to call Illinois home. With the moving behind us and the kids leaving the nest, I've turned my attention to a "second career" with Century 21, Bailey &Co.

Real estate is a calling for me because I understand so well the challenges that come with uprooting a home. As I made all those moves, with pets and children in tow, I learned that it is not just about changing your address because it's more than just your house that's involved, it's about your "home" - that "happy place" where loved ones gather, and where memories are made.

So, whether you are a buyer looking for a new place to call home, or a seller preparing to leave a home and look for a new one, I understand the demands, pressures and emotions that go with these transitions in life. But you're not alone. No matter what you're needs are, together, we can do it! Military families, I have children serving in the Army and Air Force, and I am active in the USO. I have full base access and I truly understand the unique pressures you are facing. I will keep updated information ready for you at Scott AFB Base Housing office.

One last thought: I am a great animal lover and have adopted a sweet natured Australian Shepherd named Calico. With every successful sale or purchase of a home, I will make a donation to the Belleville Area Humane Society, a local no-kill shelter. So, when we work together to get a home for you, we're helping them get a home, too! I am looking forward to working with you to achieve your goals, whether buying or selling.
