Personal Profile

Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, I attended Irmo High School and later the University of South Carolina, where I earned a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. The hospitality and tourism industry has been my passion for nearly 40 years, and I even had the chance to work in Yellowstone National Park for my internship.

After getting married, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where my two children were born. During that time, I worked primarily in event planning and sales, eventually shifting to banking after my first child was born. While I enjoyed banking, it wasn't as much fun as planning parties. My husband and I frequently visited Brevard, North Carolina, where we both had ties, and the mountains called to us. Since he could work from anywhere, we decided to move to Brevard.

I stayed home with our second child and became an active volunteer at our daughter's elementary school, eventually serving as PTA President and later working as an assistant teacher. In 2008, I joined the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, returning to the hospitality and tourism industry I loved. Over the next 12-13 years, I helped grow tourism while working to preserve our natural resources and build a sustainable industry. I also had the opportunity to introduce thousands of visitors to our beautiful area.

In late 2020, I earned my North Carolina Real Estate License and joined a local real estate company. It felt like a natural transition from my work at the chamber, and I fell in love with real estate. Helping people find the quality of life my family enjoyed in Brevard became incredibly rewarding. After some life changes, I moved to Boiling Springs, South Carolina, to start fresh. I kept my North Carolina license and earned my South Carolina license in 2022. It's great to be back in South Carolina, and I love that I can still see the mountains from here.

My goal now is to be an expert in Spartanburg County and Upstate South Carolina, in addition to my extensive knowledge of Western North Carolina. I've joined One Spartanburg and the Boiling Springs Business Association and plan to make a difference in the community where I now live and work. It's been a blessing to do what I love for so many years.
