Lyn Matteson began his career in real estate in 2001 with Century 21 Champion. Born and raised in upstate New York, Lyn grew up on his family's dairy farm where he learned the value of hard work, commitment and dependability. He graduated Cornell University and soon began working in the automobile field, starting as a sales person. He ended his 20-year career in this field as a General Sales Manager. He left New York because of the harsh winters and relocated to North Carolina to be near family where he met the love of his life, Judy Matteson, owner and operator of Surf City Florist. Lyn is known for his strong negotiating skills, quick wit and a genuine passion for helping people. Lyn's success is based on the foundation of serving his client's needs. Customer service is his top priority and it shows in everything he does. One of his proudest moments is when Lyn first received the Century 21 Corporate Pinnacle Award in 2006 - an award presented to recognize those who excel in customer service. He has continued to receive this prestigious award consistently ever since. Lyn is also very active with our community as well as to our Board of REALTORS®, where he has served as a Director for many years. Always quick to lend a hand, he steps up and steps in to help without hesitation, he is a firm believer in giving back to the community and organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, Easter Seals and the Onslow County Women's Shelter.
