Over the twenty-four years that I have been practicing law, I have had numerous clients come to me and ask me to act as their real estate agent or broker in all manner of real estate transactions. I understood that the clients wanted the security of having an attorney involved, particularly in complex and even contentious matters, but I was not licensed to provide those services. Until now. Having both the real estate license and the law practice allows me to offer complete solutions to my clients for their real estate needs and I am able to approach their situations from both perspectives. Law and real estate are not my only passions. In fact, even law was a second career for me, one that I came to after working as a transportation industry lobbyist, both on Capitol Hill and before the state legislatures in the 1990's. I have always had an adventurous and entrepreneurial streak, and I have engaged in a wide variety of things. In addition to law and real estate, I also hold a commercial pilot's license and run a wine importing business. I'm also a published author, served as a college professor in the fields of economics, sports law, and paralegal studies, and I taught adult basic sailing for twenty years. I've even done some stand-up comedy in a small club in Pasadena, California. In my free time, I like to travel, especially to Europe, but I also just enjoy spending time with my wife and family.
