"Throughout the school, class sizes are extremely small, making the learning experience much more effective. Kids get way more individualized attention and shy kids can become more involved in class discussions. Definitely emphasizes nature and environment, but is pretty solid on the rest of subjects. Especially in younger grades, it does well differentiating for kids who need more challenge and more support. Definitely not a raging social scene, but it is easy to find a few really close friends. If you put in the effort, you can be involved in the social scene of the public school. Also, not very many activities, but you are able to do anything offered at the public school if you can't find it at Journeys. Puts emphasis on projects, both group and individual, rather than tests. Of course there are some tests, but I would say we do way more projects. This is more creative and I think helps students learn more."

"The academics are most definitely challenging, but the kids are very exclusive. I have been bullied at this school for a year until I finally told a teacher. I feel alone frequently if not all the time and put down on a daily basis. I came to the school for a great education and the teachers make that possible. I have a hard time with my social life at the school and have only 2 really close friends at the school that aren't in my grade."

"The teachers are what keep me at my school. They are engaging and full of energy. They work their hardest to do everything they possibly can to help struggling students and teach hands-on classes with new exercises. They are very easy to approach and are there not only as an academic support system, but as friends. They communicate what they expect and try their best to make sure every student reaches their expectations. They are consistent in grading with the IBDP grading system and like getting to know the students on a more personal level."
