"I Like some of the teachers, I don't like how strict they become since my freshman year. Most of the teachers have you very well prepared for college and are willing to help you and we had a very good principle before he was fired. One thing I don't like is how after lunch we don't have a chance to go outside and relax before our next class."

"If you have issues with religion constantly being in the classroom, backwards southern thinking, and teachers that try too hard to be your friend, then I don't recommend it."

"My overall experience as a Miller County Pirate has been amazing. Living in a small town with not much to do can cause many people to want to leave our school system to attend larger school with "better opportunities." I, on the other hand, believe that I would not be the person I have become today without having attended my "small town" school. Besides having the best teachers anyone could ask for, my school also is more like a family. I will be graduating with seventy-four of my closest friends this May. I have grown up with each and every person here. To give up the feeling of family for a large "big city" school would be crazy. If I had to start from the beginning, I would sit right back down in Mrs. Susie Wilkin's Pre-K class and begin to learn my ABC's. Living in Colquitt, Georgia and attending the Miller County School System has taught me how to go through life as a better person; a successful person. So, no, I would not change anything about the school I attend."

"With the exception of a few, my school has wonderful teachers. Our High School English Department has the best two instructors in the school. All of my teachers have always given me help and support throughout my entire career at Miller County High School. Our teachers are very intelligent and outgoing men and women. Most of them try and incorporate fun activities and real-life lessons into the standards for better test scores and general knowledge throughout the students. I am exceptionally proud to go to this particular small-town public school because of our teachers. Because our teachers are so great at what they do, Miller County has some of the highest standardized test scores in the state of Georgia. I am absolutely honored to be a Miller County Pirate."
