"Overall, I'd say HVCHS is a pretty good school. If you're into performing arts, our program is incredible. That's in part because of the talented students; however, most of the teachers of this program are incredibly dedicated and awesome at preparing students for a future in performing arts or just giving kids a fun learning experience. There are also a good amount of advanced science classes, which are taught very well. The school is overall pretty great."

"Hopewell Valley Central High School(CHS as we call it) is a great school in the sense that it is safe, open, and encouraging. Very few students don't go to college but of those who don't they have the option of enrolling in technical schools. The teachers are well taught especially for advanced classes. What I love best about the school is that the teachers are always open to help you and students always have a chance to voice their opinions and explore their passions by joining or creating a club. What I would like to see change is the diversity of our school. We have a limited diversity here. I would also like to see that the teachers who don't teach advanced classes take their class more seriously and invest more time in making the class interesting or meaningful for the students."

"Hopewell Valley Central High School is a very good school and there are lots of good elective classes as well as clubs that offer a wide variety of options for students who want to try something new or continue to pursue a passion. The academic classes, too, are well organized. That being said, there is hardly any diversity within either its student body or staff. Some teachers are not effective when it does come to teaching, but free student tutoring is offered as well as math recitation and a writing lab both of which teachers from specified subject volunteer to help students who may be struggling with homework or class material that may not be clear or simply difficult for that particular student to accomplish. Overall, this school should be rated very well academically, but like most things still has room to improve."

"I went to HVCHS 5 years ago so it's very possible that much has changed. My experience here was very negative. It seems that the staff and faculty focus on doing the most they can for students that have promise and seem most likely to succeed. This is great if you are one of those people but if you are not in this crowd of fortunate ones and you are someone who has a tough family life, low income background, not willing to be a sheeple, or are unable to fit in with the student crowd for whatever reason then this will really suck for you. This school has a tendency to denigrate and ostracize those who are not a part of the upper echelon of society. It was very sad to see other students problems and issues being completely ignored or handled very poorly. Meanwhile, as there are some that are suffering the majority of well off students are living their lives to the fullest and enjoying it. In some ways Hopewell is just a microcosm of the whole state of New Jersey."

"I have few good memories at hopewell. I am not there anymore and have left the school to go to another school because of how bad my experience was at hopewell. Lets start out my saying how rancid the building is. Only a minimal amount of classrooms have air conditioning and heating and the ones who have it dont work well and are often broken. There are rats everywhere, and in previous years, a dead rat turned up in someone's locker near mine. Aesthetically, everything is ugly and from the 60-70's besides the "Chromebooks," and the "Epson boards." I know that they are doing work on the school currently, but the renovations aren't anywhere near what has to be done. Kids are catty and mean, but at least I had a great group of friends who weren't. Teachers are average, and lunches are also average. Overall, stick to private school or another public school if you live in the area."
