Like most Chicagoans I grew up in a very ethnic neighborhood and that environment caused me to develop deep roots of family, community and community service. I was educated in the Catholic School system and finished my education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Married for 41 years, my husband and I have lived in Lemont for the past 24 years and have raised two pretty neat daughters and have a couple of precious grandkids. After working in the Corporate / Laboratory environment, the flexibility and earning potential of real estate sales drew my attention and I became a licensed Salesperson in 1981. I earned my Brokers License in 1983. My Real Estate career has been varied; I've worked for both independents and Franchises and have progressed from sales to management to ownership. I have listed, sold and managed through many different marketplaces, 18-20% interest rates, creative financing, sellers markets, buyers markets and no markets. I understand the struggles of both sales associates and ownership. I have served on REALTORS? Boards, on the Education committee of SSWAR and most recently on the Board of Directors at MORE. On the personal side, I've been a life-long member of the Lithuanian Girls Scouts as a scout, counselor and leader, I have served on their Board of Directors, and I've coached girls basketball teams at various levels and even won some championships. Oh, that competitive spirit! I was a founding committee member of the Lithuanian World Center (a 100,000 sq. ft. facility on 5 acres) in Lemont, Illinois and served on their Board of Directors for over 10 years. I have experience in bringing diverse, multi ethnic, and multi generational people together for a common goal. Some would say my glasses are always "rose colored" I believe attitude in life is everything, I've learned you can train skills, but you cant train attitude.
