Three years ago, I decided to move to the beach. Why? The beach is relaxing, fun, exciting, and a destination for many. In addition, I also decided to become a real estate agent. Why? I wanted to bring the passion, joy, and security of the beach and its properties have to offer to others.

Carter and Company in Gulf Shores, AL serving the South Baldwin County, Alabama area focusing on income-generating beach vacation rental properties and second vacation homes. As a retired mechanical engineer from the automotive, shipbuilding, and energy industries, I am very good at two things: 1.) Numbers and 2.) Details. Purchasing a vacation home or a beach condo can be very complex. There are homeowners associations and condo associations that have to be vetted. How expensive are the association dues? Is the association financially healthy? Is the association competent and active? Are there any future assessments for work upcoming? Is there any litigation that is currently ongoing? Is the property in a flood zone? What is the rental history of the property? Does the property require a commercial loan or a conventional mortgage? And that is just scratching the surface.
