Lonnie Rushing is a longtime businessman in the Clinton community for over 47 years. He began hnis business ventures as a two-time Exxon full service station owner. Later he opened a convenience store and brought Baskin Robbins back to Clinton. He was first to franchise a Cock of the Walk express in the location on Springridge Road and I-20. After leasing out that location in 2003 he began his real estate career with ERA in 2005, Lonnie moved with Godrey and Ivy(now Godrey-McHann Realty) where he was a multi-million dollar producer every year.

He is a member of the National Associations of Realtors, holds a Graduate Realtor Institute designation (GRI) and a Seller Representative Specialist(SRS).

He is a devout Christian man and serves at Morrison Heights Baptist Church where he and his family have attended for over 40 years.

Lonnie has been married to Wanda Herrington Rushing for 51 years and they have raised three children; Alana Rushing Weston-formerly of Austin, Texas and David Rushing and Marcus Rushing who are both promient busness men in their own right. They have seven grandchildren. Their daughter, Alana passed away in 2018 after a four year battle with stage 4 breast cancer.
